Getting started

What is Vicinto?
A live map of the people, events, and conventions around you — so you can find the right people in real life. Your nearest city is free; you can travel to other supported cities with Plus.

How do I show up on the map?
Open the map Settings (gear) and turn on “Sharing my location.” You choose how precise — from your block to your whole city. You’re hidden by default.

Is my exact location shared?
No. Your coordinates are blurred on your device before anything is sent, and we never store or show your exact spot.

Events & tickets

How do I host an event?
Tap Host on the Events tab. Plus includes 1 event/month, Business up to 5. Your event gets a map pin, an RSVP list, and a group chat you admin.

How do tickets work?
Paid tickets are sold through Stripe with a service fee shown at checkout. Your ticket has a QR code that works offline and can be added to your wallet. Hosts scan it at the door.

Refunds
Refunds follow the organizer’s stated policy and applicable law. If an event is cancelled, the organizer is responsible for refunds. Contact support@vicinto.com for help.

Do I confirm before RSVPing or buying?
Yes. RSVPing and buying a ticket both ask you to confirm first, so a single tap never commits you by accident.

Telling your connections you’re going
Right after you RSVP or buy, you can notify your connections so the people in your network know to come too. It’s optional — nothing is shared unless you tap it.

Promoting or boosting your event
On any event you host, tap Promote event. A Boost ($19) gives your event a bigger glowing map pin and the top of the events feed for 7 days; a Sponsor slot ($99) features it across the whole city or convention. Promotion is bought per event, separate from any subscription, and Business members get monthly boost credits plus a discount.

Event group chats
Everyone going can join the event chat. The host is the admin — they can rename it, pin messages, remove members, and end the chat.

Connections & network

Adding connections
Tap Connect on anyone’s profile, or use Discover people in your Inbox to search and see who you may know via mutuals.

Message requests
If someone you haven’t added messages you, it lands in Message requests — not your Direct messages. Accept it to move the chat into Direct, or delete it. Direct messages are only people you’ve added or accepted.

Seeing what someone’s attending
A person’s profile shows the upcoming events and conventions they’re going to or hosting, so you can find them in real life.

Connecting LinkedIn & contacts
From your profile, Connect your network to see which of your contacts are nearby. We never post or message on your behalf, and you can disconnect any time.

Privacy & safety

Reporting & blocking
On any profile you can Block someone or Report them with a reason. Reports are confidential and reviewed within 24 hours.

Controlling who sees you
You’re invisible until you turn on location sharing, and you can set your precision or hide again at any time.

Account & billing

Plans
Free covers the core. Plus and Business add hosting, other cities, analytics, and more.

Delete my account
Profile → Edit profile → Delete account. This removes your profile, pins, messages, events, and RSVPs.
